Helen N. Baker, Board President, is a partner at the Chicago law firm of Freeborn & Peters , LLP. Ms. Baker, who lives in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, received a bachelor’s degree at Brown University and a J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. Having begun her relationship with Interfaith House as a volunteer, Helen has served on the Interfaith House Board of Directors since 1996, and was elected Board President in 2008.
Joshua M. Earl, Board Vice President, is a Vice President at GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC, a leading private equity investment firm based in Chicago. Prior to joining GTCR, he worked as an analyst in the Global Industrial and Services Group at Credit Suisse First Boston in Chicago. Mr. Earl graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame, earning a BBA in Finance and Business Economics and a BA in Japanese. He has served on the Interfaith House Board of Directors since 2004, and was elected Board Vice President in 2008.
Rebecca Eisner, Board Secretary, is a Partner at Mayer Brown, LLP, focusing on business and technology sourcing and outsourcing, information technology transactions, electronic commerce, privacy, and security. She is ranked by Chambers International, Best Lawyers, and Illinois Super Lawyers as a top lawyer in her field. In addition to her work with Interfaith House, she is an active volunteer within her school district, a children’s ministry teacher, and a member of Winnetka Congregational Church. Ms. Eisner has previously volunteered in various capacities to help women who suffer from domestic violence and abuse. Ms. Eisner was elected to the Interfaith House Board of Directors in 2008.
Barbara Young Morris, Board Treasurer, is a principal of Winston Partners Incorporated, a corporate advisor to small and mid-sized publicly-owned companies, with 17 years of experience in senior finance and communications roles with a leading Fortune 100 health-care company. In addition to her work with Interfaith House, Morris serves on the Board of Trustees of Muskingum College, the Governing Board of the Anti-Cruelty Society, and is a member of The Chicago Network, an organization of prominent women in the upper echelons of business, the arts, government, the professions and academia. Morris received a Bachelor’s degree from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio and a Master’s degree from the Graduate School of Business at Harvard.
Bruce Doblin, MD, MPH is currently in private practice as a general internist and palliative care specialist. Mr. Doblin is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He also serves on the Board of the 3 Arts Foundation. Dr. Doblin has written many articles for medical journals and often presents to physician audiences on the subject of homelessness and Hospice and Palliative Care. He is on the teaching faculty of NorthShore University Medical Center, Northwestern University and the University of Chicago. He served for many years as the Founding Medical Director of Interfaith House. He joined the Board of Directors in 2008 and is active on the program and research committees.
Steve Gerschoffer is a Principal for Crowe Horwath, LLP, specializing in Technology Risk consulting. In the spring of 2008, Steve and some of his friends helped lead the Big Give Challenge from Oprah, in which they coordinated a large-scale benefit for Interfaith House in only 48 hours. Steve holds a B.S. in both Computer Information Systems and Accounting from Ferris State University. He was elected to the Board of Directors in early 2008 and serves on the Board Membership and Development Committees.
William Glover, is a member of Interfaith House’s Consumer Advisory Board and an active volunteer. Mr. Glover conducts resident sessions on anger management and men’s issues and during the summer months leads weekly resident gardening groups that take care of everything from planting, weeding, and watering all the way through harvest time.
Reverend Jennifer A. Gleichauf is the Associate Pastor of Winnetka Congregational Church and specializes in mission, high school programming, and family life, in addition to other pastoral responsibilities. Reverend Gleichauf holds a Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University. She was elected to the Board of Directors in 2006.
Trey Gonzales is a Sales Associate for Holly Hunt Ltd, with a B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Oklahoma. Gonzales first became involved with Interfaith House during Oprah Winfrey’s Big Give Challenge in 2008, helping triple the number of our individual donors. Utilizing his multiple design industry contacts, Gonzales has taken a leadership role in organizing the V.I.P. receptions that honor individual sponsors of our Annual Gala. He was elected to the Board of Directors in May of 2010.
Stan Jaworski is a Vice President with Dearborn Advisors LLC, a firm that provides information systems consulting services to hospitals and healthcare organizations. Stan has provided other community services including Board of Advisors and former President, Chicago Health Executive Forum Board Member, American Cancer Society, DuPage County; Adjunct Faculty Positions, MBA Program, Advanced Topics in Healthcare IT, Benedictine University:, Lisle, IL; Assistant Professor, Graduate Program in Health Systems Management, Rush University, Chicago, IL; Mission Board Member, Union Church of Hinsdale. Stan holds an M.B.A. in Health Care Finance from Northeastern University, Boston, and a B.A. in Biology and Economics from Knox College. Stan was elected to the Board of Directors in 2008 and participates on the Medical Partners and Quality Assurance & Measurement Committees.
Arthur F. Kohrman, M.D., is professor emeritus of Pediatrics and Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. He received Bachelor degrees in arts and science from the University of Chicago and his medical degree from Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Kohrman was Professor of Pediatrics at The University of Chicago and President of La Rabida Children’s hospital from 1981 to 1996.
Jeff Lyon, is Deputy Editor of the Chicago Tribune Magazine and Director of the “Science Writing Program at Columbia College in Chicago and a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and author of books on gene therapy and medical ethics. Mr. Lyon holds a BSJ from the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2004.
Thomas Bolton Mayo, III, is an insurance and financial services professional and President of Swift Commercial Real Estate Finance. Mr. Mayo holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is a Phi Beta Kappa, Morehead Scholar graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill , with a BA with highest honors in English. He was elected to the Interfaith House Board of Directors in 2006, and has served on the Finance and Corporate Task Force committees.
Clio C. Mulryne, is a Senior Vice President and Director of Information Technology at Cole Taylor Bank. She holds a BA in Music from Providence College and an MBA in Management from Bryant University. In addition to her work at Interfaith House, Clio is a member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training. She has served on the Interfaith Board of Directors since 2003.
Louis Rohr, M.D. is Attending Physician at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County since 2001. He is also Physician Clinic Director at Health Body Clinic and volunteers with Chicago Christian Industrial League. In 2004, Louis co-wrote Changing Attitudes Toward Homeless People. Louis completed his Residency at Cook County Hospital in 2000. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2007, and serves on the Measurements and Increasing Medical Services Committees.
Kari Rollins is a Litigation Associate at Winston & Strawn’s Chicago office, specializing in antitrust, securities fraud, class action defense, breach-of-contract, intellectual property and corporate internal investigations. Rollins holds a B.S. in Marketing from Butler University, and received her J.D. summa cum laude from DePaul University’s College of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and was associate editor of the DePaul Law Review. She was elected to the Interfaith House Board of Directors in May of 2010, having previously worked on our Associates Board.
Nathaniel E. Sher is Vice President, Manager of Health Care Financial Services for Fifth Third Bank. Ned has been in corporate Finance for over 20 years and holds a Masters of Management from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. In addition to his work with Interfaith House, Mr. Sher also serves on the Charitable Foundation Board of Advocate Healthcare System and the Board of AYSO Region 300. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2007.
Jacob C. Starks was Interfaith House’s first Executive Director, and a founding member of the Board. He is also co-chair of Interfaith House’s Advisory Board and serves on the boards of several Chicago area service agencies, including: the Health and Medicine Policy Research Group and the Interfaith Housing Development Corporation of Chicago.
Jeremy Stump is a Vice President at Fifth Third Bank Structured Finance Group, specializing in asset based lending and leverage buy-out financing. Mr. Stump and his wife have been West Loop Residents since 2006. His other volunteer activities include; Advisory Council for Chicago Community Ventures, student mentor for the Young Bankers Club of Chicago, and active volunteer with the American Heart Association. Mr. Stump is currently attending University of Chicago Booth School of Business as an evening student. Mr. Stump graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mr. Stump has been involved with Interfaith House’s Associate Board since early 2007 and was elected to the Board of Directors in early 2008.
Jennifer J. Nelson-Seals, MSHRM, ex officio. Ms. Nelson-Seals is the Executive Director of Interfaith House. She holds a Masters of Arts in Human Resource Management from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Robert Morris College.
